"The Rider Survival Program, would ensure greater safety awareness and provide motorcyclists with the skills and knowledge to deal with unexpected hazards on the road. We will train them how to ride with a flat tyre, how to ride with one of the brakes malfunctioning ... we will train them how to counter these problems. Effective braking will be one of the things to be taught. Part of the training will include slippery and uneven roads, in addition to the basic knowledge, visibility and such,"
-- said Road Safety Department director-general Datuk Suret Singh
