the ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
|
Statistic (Jan-Oct 2008) from the Royal
Police of Malaysia shows a total of 7524
cases of serious injuries and 14414
cases of minor injuries from road
accidents.
Due to injuries sustained from
accidents, many victims require the use
of support equipments such as
wheelchairs or crutches to carry out
their daily activities.
In line with that, RSMC has initiated a
scheme whereby wheelchairs and other
support equipments will be loaned to
road accident victims who rely on these
equipments temporarily until they are
fully recovered.
This scheme will provide support to road
accident victims and inevitably lighten
their burden of buying a wheelchair and
other support equipments themselves.
These wheelchairs and equipments are
given for free usage until the victims
fully recover.
Our sincere
appreciation to Majlis Keselamatan
Jalanraya Malaysia, Resorts World
Berhad
(now known as Genting Malaysia
Berhad), Tan Chin Tuan Foundation and Gleneagles
Hospital (Kuala Lumpur) Sdn Bhd for
their support and contribution towards
the success of this community
project.
